The pharmacist must satisfy the requirements of the CPPE “Self-declaration of Competence for Supervised Consumption of Prescribed Medicines for Substance Misuses (Opioids)”, complete a self-assessment of core competencies and print and sign their “Personal Declaration of Qualifications and competence to deliver a Supervised Consumption of Prescribed Medicines service”.
Maintenance of Accreditation - Pharmacists are responsible for reassessing their competence to deliver this service every two years. This should involve completing a new self-declaration of competence.
