Pharmacy owner views sought on CPCF arrangements for 2024/25 and 2025/26

Community pharmacy owners are being asked to share their views a following the new CPCF funding settlement, ahead of the next full Community Pharmacy England Committee meeting taking place at the end of this month (30th April to 1st May).

The new CPCF arrangements mark a pivotal moment for the sector and while the Committee did agree to the settlement, it did so only reluctantly, recognising that this is a significant shift after years of real-terms cuts, but still not sufficient to match the continued scale of pressures facing pharmacy businesses.

We are keen to make sure the Committee’s discussions continue to be shaped by your views and shared experiences. That is why we are asking pharmacy owners to take part in our latest opinion poll. Your feedback will help the Committee discuss how the new settlement is being felt across the sector. We want to know whether it helps ease financial pressures, supports investment in staff, services or premises, and how serious the ongoing challenges still are for your pharmacy.

We are also keen to hear if you have already had to stop, or expect to stop, providing any aspects of your business this year, and what you think should be the next priority for Government and Community Pharmacy England.

You can directly input into the Committee’s discussions via this short poll:

The survey will close at 11.59pm on Wednesday 30th April 2025 to allow time for the Committee to review responses before its meeting. Please note, this survey is for community pharmacy owners only – CCA multiple branches do not need to respond, as their head offices will be contacted separately.

Alongside the poll, we are also continuing our programme of in-person and online engagement events to ensure pharmacy owners can discuss the deal directly with Community Pharmacy England and access the latest resources. The final event will take place in London on Saturday 26th April – find out more.

As always, your input is vital, and we hope that as many of you as possible will share your perspectives with us ahead of our upcoming meeting. The findings will be used as part of our wider influencing work to press for further improvements and support for community pharmacies.
