Developing a Vision for Community Pharmacy – latest opportunity to share your views

This consultation is the latest opportunity to engage with Community Pharmacy England’s vision project for pharmacy owners, LPCs and others in the sector to share their thoughts on proposals for the future of community pharmacy. It takes the form of a short online survey, and the responses will help enhance the final report before it is launched more widely.
Background information on the project
In October 2022 we commissioned Nuffield Trust and The King’s Fund to develop a new vision and strategic options for community pharmacy.
Their final report, which is expected to be published in autumn 2023, will help to underpin the future strategy for the sector.
It will also lay the groundwork for negotiations between Community Pharmacy England and policymakers as the current five-year Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF) comes to an end. Those negotiations will be critical to the future of the sector.

Who should respond to this survey?
- Pharmacy owners and their representatives;
- Other pharmacy professionals and members of the wider pharmacy team;
- Local Pharmaceutical Committees (LPCs) members or employees; and
- Pharmacy or pharmacist representative bodies.
Why should you respond to the survey?
If you work in community pharmacy, responding to this survey provides another opportunity to contribute your views on the future development of community pharmacy and the services that pharmacy teams could provide to patients, working with other health and care professionals and the NHS. In particular, participants are being asked for their thoughts on the proposals formulated by Nuffield Trust and The King’s Fund and and what will need to happen to make them a reality.
